Q: What is the difference between a Freight Forwarder…
and a Third Party Logistics Provider?
A Freight Forwarder is a person or company that arranges and organizes shipments for customers, and gets them delivered on time to the appropriate destination.
A Third Party Logistics Provider is a person or company that provides services for part of or the entirety of a customer’s supply chain. In addition to acting as a Freight Forwarder, the TPL provider can also offer warehousing services, goods production/procurement, and order fulfillment, among other things.
Mindless labor zombies usually not included. Check with your TPL for details. Getty
